Cresco, IA is the county seat of Howard County. Established in 1866, Cresco grew quickly thanks to the building of the railroad. Today, around 4,000 people enjoy a great quality of life in Cresco.
Cresco is the boyhood home of Nobel Peace Prize winner Norman Borlaug, home of the Iowa Wresting Hall of Fame, and provides post-secondary education opportunities at Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC).
